Effect Analysis on the Policy of Expanding Free Medication in Jing'an District of Shanghai
Objective:To analyze the effect of expanding the policy of free medication for mental disabilities in Jing'an District of Shanghai and explore the appropriate service model.Method:The general demographic data and economic expenditure changes of patients in 8 years after the implementation of the policy were retrospectively analyzed through data collection and statistics.To understand the social work effectiveness indicators,the qualitative interviews were conducted.Result:From 2013 to 2020,the number of people taking medicine free of charge has increased year by year.The total outpatient expenses reached a peak in 2014,reached a trough in 2018,and then increased slowly year by year.The trend of per capita outpatient expenditure was similar to that of the total outpatient expenditure.And the rate of regular medication,standardized management and remarkable improvement of patients increased significantly.Conclusion:Key attention and timely adjustments are needed in terms of service recipients and application processes.With the continuous optimization of the policy and Internet hospitals,the policy has greater space for community promotion and implementation,and can provide references for free medication projects in other provinces and cities.
