Objective:To investigate the cause of the suspected outbreak of surgical site infection in the orthopedics department of a 3A comprehensive hospital in a short period of time and take timely prevention and control measures.Method:The causes of surgical site infection were analyzed by field epidemiological investigation and environmental health monitoring,and the PDCA cycle method was used for the continuous improvement in implementing corresponding prevention and control measures.Result:The results of the univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in the incidence of postoperative incision infection among different stage helpers,dressing changers,patient gender and complications(P<0.05).Conclusion:The cause of the incident was found in time,and the occurrence of new cases of orthopedic incision infection could be effectively reduced by strengthening aseptic operation,hand hygiene and environmental hygiene rectification.
