Improving the Operating Quality of Hospital Departments Based on the Modified Boston Matrix Differentiation
Objective:The improved Boston matrix was established by using DRG related indicators so as to dynamically analyze the operation situation of a 3a hospital department, and put forward differentiated strategies and measures for the improvement in the operation quality of the department.Method:With a 3a public hospital as an example,a matrix was established with the 2022 data to determine the types and positioning of each clinical department.Typical departments were selected for specific analysis and the personalized improvement measures were proposed.Six months later, the matrix was re-established to vertically compare the operational data of typical departments.Result:After six months of the differentiated improvement, the operating data of typical departments improved significantly. Conclusion:The improved Boston matrix based on DRG related indicators can provide basis and tools for hospitals to accurately evaluate department(discipline)operations, rationally allocate resources and implement differentiated development strategies.
