Objective:To understand the current situation and occupational needs of grassroots health workers in Gansu Province,and provide reference for improving their job satisfaction and developing targeted measures.Method:A cluster sampling survey was conducted on 510 grassroots health workers in 10 cities in Gansu Province.Result:The monthly income of the respondents was concentrated below 3,000 yuan,accounting for 80.59%.Logistic regression analysis showed that the highest education background and employment type were the main influencing factors of monthly income(P<0.05).The main reasons affecting participation in training are:frequent overtime work and turnover;low training effectiveness,work dependence,family difficulties,and high costs.The three least satisfied items in the job satisfaction survey are satisfaction with unit welfare benefits,job promotion opportunities,and professional title evaluation.Conclusion:In Gansu Province,the income of grassroots health workers is generally low;the personnel turnover is serious;the training is not in place;and the career satisfaction is not pleasant.Various measures should be taken to improve the career satisfaction of grassroots health workers in order to ensure the effective flow and reasonable distribution of health personnel.
