Objective:To explore the correlation between age,CT value of vertebral cancellous bone and quantitative computed tomography(QCT)value and the feasibility of predicting QCT value.Materials and methods:300 patients who underwent dual-layer detector spectral CT(DLCT)scanning in our hospital were selected to record the age and the average value of CT value(hereinafter referred to as CT value)and QCT value of bone cancellous material of lumbar 1-3 vertebrae.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to establish a linear regression equation to calculate the predicted value of QCT.Results:1.Age,CT value and QCT value have strong negative and positive correlation, respectively. The correlation coefficient between age and QCT value is r=-0.628,P<0.001,and the correlation coefficient between CT value and QCT value is r=0.986,P<0.001.2.The regression equation is Y(QCT predicted value)=0.01+0.772 × CT value-0.131 ×Age(adjusted R2=0.973,P<0.001).Conclusion:Age,CT value and QCT value have strong correlation, which can accurately predict QCT value through age and CT value, and has good predictive value and clinical significance.
