Comparison and Analysis of Welding Process Methods for Longitudinal Seams of GIS Aluminum Alloy Shells
This paper compares and analyzes different welding methods for Gas Insulated Switchgear(GIS)aluminum alloy shells, including Tungsten Inert Gas(TIG)welding,Metal-Inert Gas(MIG)welding,K-TIG welding, plasma arc welding,laser-MIG welding, and MIG+TIG welding. The advantages and disadvantages of the process method were evaluated from the aspects of welding quality, efficiency, and process complexity. The research results indicate that MIG+TIG welding has significant advantages in welding quality, efficiency, and process complexity, while equipment investment and maintenance costs are relatively low.
