Study on Influence of Curvature on Forming Limit Based on DIC Technology
High-strength steel has become the most used material for body and parts because of its high strength and lighter weight under the same strength.Wrinkling and cracking are the main defects in the bending and flanging process of automobile cladding,and curvature is an important factor affecting its formability.In order to prevent wrinkling and cracking and improve the formability of high strength steel,Digital Image Correlation(DIC)technology and Nakajima test were used to study the influence of curvature on the forming limit of high strength steel.With DP780 high-strength steel as the test material,the expansion test was carried out under different diameters of punts.DIC technology was used to monitor the strain state of the plate in real time,and the Forming Limit Curves(FLC)of DP780 under different curvations were obtained by position correlation method.The Forming Limit Diagrams(FLD)of DP780 sheet under different curvatures were plotted.By comparing the FLC under different curvatures,it can be seen that the formability of DP780 high strength steel sheet increases with the increase of curvature.
