Study on the Microstructure and Properties of TIG Welded Joints of Industrial Pure Titanium Pipelines for Oil and Gas Fields
Tungsten Inert Gas(TIG)welding process is studied by using industrial pure titanium pipes TA2 and TA3.Through metallographic analysis, mechanical property test and corrosion test, the weld can obtain the required metallographic structure, and the tensile strength of TA3 joint is better than that of TA2 at both room temperature and high temperature. All the impact tests are ductile fracture, and the weld has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in acidic hydrogen sulfide environment, which meets the service requirements of oil and gas fields.
