Bonding Process of Carbon Fiber Suspension Based on FSC
The bonding process of carbon fiber crossarm,body and wheel edge will greatly affect the strength of the suspension,which is a major technical difficulty that many formula teams need to overcome on the road of lightweight suspension.Therefore,based on the Formula Student China(FSC)competition,the force analysis of the whole suspension was carried out,and the bonding process and material selection were studied.Dynamic simulation was carried out using ANSYS to control the roughness of the bonding surface and the connection concentricity.Finally,multiple tensile tests were carried out.A set of carbon fiber suspension bonding scheme based on 3M DP460 structure epoxy resin adhesive and aluminum alloy joint with a force up to 36 kN is designed,which can fully meet the needs of racing cars,ensure the safety of drivers during racing practice and competition,and ensure the normal performance of suspension.
