Analysis of Rising Height of Fire Smoke in High Atrium in Different Seasons
Theoretical calculation and numerical simulation were used in this paper to analyze the rising height of the smoke plume flow under different seasons and different fire heat release rates to obtain corresponding conclusions. With bigger fire heat release rate or smaller interior temperature gradient, the smoke flow rose higher. For a high and large atrium, most of the fire smoke cannot rise to the ceiling,so linear beam type smoke detector should be installed at different heights to prevent omitting alarm while smoke exhausting facilities should be installed stratifiedly to discharge smoke that cannot rise to the roof.
