Digital inclusive finance,an innovative financial service model known for its convenience and affordability, offers a novel approach to reducing multidimensional relative poverty in ethnic regions. This study constructs an index system aligned with the multidimensional relative poverty concept and leverages panel data from twelve provinces within ethnic regions from 2011 to 2022.Employing a fixed effects model, the research examines the impact of digital inclusive finance on multidimensional rela-tive poverty levels. The findings highlight three key insights:Firstly, the expansion of digital inclu-sive finance significantly contributes to reducing multidimensional relative poverty in ethnic regions.Secondly,an in-depth analysis by dimension reveals that while the broad coverage of digital inclusive finance substantially alleviates multidimensional relative poverty, the depth of its use has an indeter-minate impact on poverty levels.Although digitalization enhances financial service reach,it can poten-tially worsen poverty under certain conditions due to technological barriers.Thirdly, the study identi-fies that entrepreneurial activity plays a significant mediating role between digital inclusive finance and the reduction of multidimensional relative poverty.Based on these findings, the paper recommends bolstering digital infrastructure, enhancing financial and digital literacy, refining industries and em-ployment,encouraging entrepreneurship, and safeguarding the ecological environment to foster the growth of digital inclusive finance in ethnic regions and facilitate poverty alleviation and sustainable development.
