Pancreatic pseudocyst(PPC)is one of the common local complications of acute and chronic pancreatitis.Clinicians'understanding of PPC has been continuously refined and impro-ved,and the treatment methods have also shifted from open surgery to minimally invasive interven-tions.However,there is still no standard treatment method.In previous studies,surgical treatment occupied a central position among the treatment methods for PPC.With the development of endo-scopic minimally invasive techniques,the proportion of surgical treatment has gradually decreased.From the perspective of a surgeon,the authors review the surgical history of PPC and discuss the status and development trend of surgical treatment for PPC by combining the literature and the experience of the team.
