Based on the data of the western region from 2010 to 2020,the fixed-effect panel model is used to empirically analyze the internal influence mechanism of urban residents'cultural consump-tion.The results suggest that:innovation and cultural industry agglomeration have a promoting effect on the cultural consumption of urban residents in the western region.From the perspective of regional and industrial heterogeneity,the effect of scientific and technological innovation and cultural industry agglomeration on the cultural consumption of urban residents in southwest China is higher than that in northwest China,and the impact on the consumer market of cultural service industry is the most signifi-cant.We should explore the development path of scientific and technological innovation of the cultural industry and enhance the potential of the cultural consumption market.
