As an excellent traditional culture of the nation,opera art is an important cultural re-source for moral,intellectual and aesthetic education in colleges and universities,and has a positive thought-leading role and nurturing value,so it is necessary to introduce it into college campuses.The ar-ticle takes Shaanxi local opera xianbanqiang music shadow play as the entry point,explores the ele-ments of ideological and political education it contains,helps young students establish cultural confi-dence,shapes noble character,improves aesthetic ability,enhances humanistic literacy,highlights the ar-tistic charm of the national traditional culture,and provides feasible suggestions to enhance the integra-tion of traditional opera education into the cultivation of talents in colleges and universities.
