Since the founding of the People's Republic of China,the leaders of the Party through-out history have paid a high level of attention to border governance.Taking Comrade Deng Xiaoping as an example,during his reign,he not only maintained the overall harmony and stability in China's bor-der areas,but also formed Deng Xiaoping's ideas on border governance.Looking at the formation of this ideology,we can see that Deng Xiaoping's border governance ideology is closely related to his fun-damental principle of adhering to the principle of seeking truth from facts and starting from reality,as well as his work experience at the local and central levels.If we summarize Deng Xiaoping's thought on border governance,its main content includes the following four aspects:adhering to the leadership of the Party is the fundamental requirement of border governance,doing a good job in ethnic work is the foundation of border governance,strengthening military construction is the solid guarantee of bor-der governance,and daring to fight and being good at it is the strategic approach of border governance.In the current work of border governance,the effective application of Deng Xiaoping's ideas on border governance is still of extremely important practical significance.
