Research Progress in Novel-preparation Technologies of Sm(CoCuFeZr)z Permanent Magnets
2∶17 type Sm(CoFeCuZr)z sintered permanent magnets are widely used in many important fields such as aer-ospace,military technology,and new energy technology due to their good magnetic properties and excellent thermal stability.The preparation technology of the 2∶17 Sm(CoFeCuZr)z sintered permanent magnet is based on the traditional powder metal-lurgy method.During the last decades,numerous research projects focusing on preparation technology have been carried out to develop high-performance magnets around the world.Specifically,quite a few novel processing techniques such as strip-cast-ing,hydrogen decrepitation,jet milling and secondary phase doping have been gradually applied in recent years,which are beneficial to the improvement of overall magnetic performance of the magnet.Based on the preparation process of 2∶17 Sm(CoFeCuZr)z sintered permanent magnets,this paper introduces the research progress of magnets in as-cast alloy,pulverizing process,doping process,and heat treatment process,summarizes the effects of different preparation processes on the micro-structure and magnetic properties of magnets,and evaluates the application of the new process in the preparation of high-per-formance Sm(CoFeCuZr)z permanent magnets.
