Impulse-infrared Absorption Method for Determination of Oxygen Content in Rare Earth Ferro-alloy
In this paper,a method of determination of oxygen content in rare earth ferro-alloys by inert gas pulse-infrared absorption was established. The effects of flux, sample preparation method, heating power and other conditions on the determi-nation results were investigated. The results showed the sample was prepared with particles nickel basket as the flux and analy-sis power was 5000 W.Under optimized conditions, the detection limit of the method was 0.0014%,the relative standard de-viation(RSD)of the actual sample was 1.80%to 4.46%(n=11),and the recoveries were 92.3%~115.5%.The method has the advantages of simple and fast operation, good precision, accurate and reliable results,it has certain practical applica-tion value.
