Crystal Structure and Photoluiminescent Properties of a Coordination Polymer {[Sm2(pdc)3(C2H6O2)(H2O)]·(H2O)}n
A 3D(three-dimensional)samarium coordination polymer {[Sm2(pdc)3(C2H6O2)(H2O)]·(H2O)}n(H2pdc=3,5-pyridinedicarboxylic acid;C2H6O2=glycol)was synthesized by reacting samarium nitrate aqueous solution and H2pdc with hydrothermal method at 180 ℃.Single crystal x-ray diffraction showed the complex crystallizes in monoclinic sys-tem,C2/c space group with a=1.4564(4)nm,b=1.1190(6)nm,c=1.4854(5)nm,α=γ=90°,β=94.068(18)°.Sm(Ⅲ)is nine-coordinated with seven oxygen atoms from pdc liangds, one oxygen atom from glycol and the other one from water molecules.A 3D porous complex was constructed by the connections between Sm(Ⅲ)and the ligands of pdc anions and glycol molecules. The complex emits the characteristic fluorescence of Sm(Ⅲ)under excitation of 325 nm ultraviolet light.
