Study on Catalytic CO Combustion Performance of Rare Earth Tailings/Steel Slag
The performance of the catalytic CO combustion of Bayan Obo rare earth tailings and steel slag at different tem-perature ranges(600 ℃~1000 ℃)was investigated by using a fixed bed and infrared flue gas analyzer,and the results showed that the conversion rate of CO was improved under the action of both rare earth tailings and steel slag,indicated that the addition of rare earth tailings and steel slag enhanced the catalytic CO combustion,thus improving the combustion efficien-cy of CO,and their catalytic performance both increased with increasing temperature.Compared with steel slag,rare-earth tailings showed better catalytic performance in the temperature range of 600 ℃~900 ℃,indicating good synergy between rare-earth element Ce and Fe2O3;steel slag showed better catalytic performance than rare-earth tailings in the range of 900 ℃~1000 ℃,and it could achieve 91.3%CO conversion rate at 1000 ℃.
