Following the 1960s,amidst the surge of social and educational reforms in Europe, the fields of Drama-in-Education(DIE)and Theatre-in-Education(TIE)emerged globally. In the 1990s,Edward Bond,a prominent British playwright, embarked on a transformative journey within TIE and created Bondian plays. This paper systematically examines Bond's approach to TIE,which involves the creation of dystopian theatrical scenarios to kindle imagination and the use of avant-garde methods to ignite the imagination. The result is a distinctively Bondian TIE characterized by a strong personal style. The study aims to highlight Bond's unique contributions to DIE/TIE and, from the vantage point of performance venues and presentation techniques, discusses the strategic approaches and challenges. It aspires to offer insights that could inform the creation and advancement of DIE/TIE in China.
