The Impact of the Deepening of China's GVC Division of Labor on Domestic Value-Added Rate of Manufacturing Exports
Under the global value chain division of labor pattern of disintegration of production and integration of trade, the territory and ownership of added value in export trade are further separated, and intermediate goods trade has become the main form of international trade. In this context, can deepening the division of labor in production improve the real benefits of interna-tional trade?Based on the UIBE-GVC database and from the perspective of deepening the division of labor in forward and back-ward production, this paper constructs an empirical model to study the impact of production division on DVAR.The results show that deepening the division of labor in forward production can significantly improve DVAR,while deepening the division of labor in backward production has an inhibitory effect on DVAR;the deepening of forward production division of labor has the most sig-nificant promoting effect on the improvement of DVAR in high-tech manufacturing industry, while backward production division of labor can improve DVAR in high-tech manufacturing industry.Based on this,in the future,it is of great necessity to optimize the selection of destination countries and industries for OFDI and FDI,increase investment in independent research and develop-ment,conquer core technologies of key intermediate products and promote the coordinated development of productive service in-dustry to improve foreign trade gains measured by DVAR.
