Analysis of the Development Direction and Engineering Cases of Urban Sewage Treatment Plants in China under the Background of"Dual Carbon"
With the successive establishment of China's"carbon peak"and"carbon neutrality"goals,relevant policies in the municipal sewage treatment industry have also been implemented one after another.This article deeply analyzes the implemen-tation path of sewage treatment plants in carbon reduction and carbon neutrality,and points out the core elements of building an energy self-sufficient sewage treatment plant.Through a case study of the second phase expansion project of a sewage treat-ment plant in Tongzi County,it was found that with the introduction of new process technologies,the VFL process sewage treat-ment plant can achieve energy self-sufficiency and even carbon neutrality through various aspects such as energy conservation and consumption reduction,drug consumption reduction,recovery of organic matter energy,utilization of photovoltaic power generation,and energy recovery of water source heat pumps.This provides strong technical support for the construction of"car-bon neutrality"sewage treatment plants in China.
