Research Status of High Purity Quartz Sand Beneficiation and Deep Processing in China
Quartz sand is an important non-metallic mineral resource,which is widely used in modern industry.However,the impurity content in natural quartz sand is high,so it is difficult to meet the needs of high-end fields.This paper systematically analyzes the research status of high purity quartz sand ore dressing and deep processing technology at home and abroad,and mainly introduces the key processes of crushing screening,magnetic flotation,acid-alkali leaching and heat treatment modifi-cation.According to the specific requirements of quartz sand quality in different application fields,the fine processing methods such as electrostatic grading and surface modification are put forward.Using various physical and chemical means,ultra-high purity quartz sand products with high purity and controllable grain size distribution can be prepared,so as to promote the devel-opment of high-end quartz sand industry in China.
