Theoretical Research and Practice of HyCROF Process in Baosteel
This article introduces the theoretical research and practice of the HyCROF process in the low-carbon metallurgical test platform of Xinjiang Bayi Iron and Steel Co.,Ltd.'s ironmaking plant.From traditional blast furnace high oxygen enrich-ment and ultra-high oxygen enrichment to the full oxygen smelting of HyCROF process,HyCROF process can reduce fossil en-ergy consumption in the ironmaking process by more than 30%.The top gas self circulation and hydrogen rich smelting have achieved a carbon dioxide reduction effect of more than 25%,providing theoretical basis and practical solutions for reducing carbon emissions in ironmaking process from the source.
