Virtual Machine Technology for Automated System Migration
A virtual machine is software that runs in a computer system and can simulate a complete computer system. Its oper-ation method is not significantly different from that of a physical computer, and it can read USB and other devices through the interface of the physical computer, with no special requirements for the relevant software carrier. Therefore, virtual machines demonstrate powerful advantages in daily work and life. However, after running in harsh environments for a long time, the reli-ability and stability of industrial computers will gradually decline.Meanwhile, due to technological advancements and updates, related equipment is difficult to replace, resulting in maintenance difficulties. In this case, virtual machine technology becomes particularly important.A virtual machine can be established for industrial control computers, which can avoid mutual influence between projects and facilitate data exchange, bringing convenience to project design and debugging. The author proposes a method of migration through virtual machine systems, utilizing the centralized abstraction and extensive support capabilities of virtual machines for hardware,to migrate the target industrial computer system as a whole to new industrial computers with dif-ferent hardware structures. This method can flexibly and conveniently debug and solve problems that arise during the migration process, achieving fast and efficient migration of industrial computer systems. After improving the method and successfully ap-plying it,it has a significant effect on improving economic benefits.
