Analysis of Frequent Failures and Countermeasures for High-pressure Water Descaling System
Descaling is an essential process in the plate rolling steel production, and improving the stability of the high-pressure water descaling system contributes to enhancing the quality of slab production. This article discusses the frequent failures of the high-pressure water descaling system and corresponding countermeasures. After analyzing the composition and working principle of the high-pressure water descaling system, the article identifies several issues, including water leakage in the high-pressure descaling pipeline, failures in the pre-charging water system, water and air leakage in the system, significant pressure fluctuations in the high-pressure water system, faults in the descaling valve, and problems with the high-pressure water system's high-pressure plunger pump.In response to these issues, the article proposes specific countermeasures and suggests establishing a failure response assurance mechanism for the high-pressure water descaling system.Recommendations include reducing flange connections in the pipeline network, increasing pipe clamps, adding shock-absorbing pads, modifying the water inlet pipe for the descaling manifold of the rolling mill, improving water quality, and strengthening regular inspection and maintenance of the equipment.
