Study on Structures and Damping Properties of Hindered Phenol AO-60/NR Composites
The effects of hindered phenol AO-60 amounts on the structures and damping properties of hindered phenol AO-60/natural rubber(NR)composites were studied. The results showed that, when the hindered phenol AO-60 amount was no more than 50 phr,the hindered phenol AO-60 formed small aggregates in the composites. As the hindered phenol AO-60 amount increased, more and more large aggregates of the hindered phenol AO-60 formed in the composites. In differential scanning calorimetry analysis, the hindered phenol AO-60 underwent amorphous and crystalline transitions at 48 and 107℃,respectively.At room temperature, the loss factor(tanδ)of the composites with no more than 50 phr hindered phenol AO-60 reached 0.2 or more, while the tanδ of NR compound without hindered phenol AO-60 was only 0.05.As the hindered phenol AO-60 amount increased, the Fmax-FL of the composites decreased, the t10 and t90 were significantly prolonged, the tensile strength and tear strength decreased, and the rebound value of the composite with 50 phr hindered phenol AO-60 was the smallest.Overall, when the hindered phenol AO-60 amount was 50 phr,the hindered phenol AO-60/NR composite had the best properties.
