Effect of CBp/Carbon Black N330 Blending on Properties of NR Compounds
The effect of pyrolysis carbon black(CBp)/carbon black N330 blending on the properties of natural rubber(NR)compounds was investigated. The results showed that the specific surface area of carbon black N330 was larger than that of CBp,the ash content was significantly lower than that of CBp,and the types and contents of carbon-containing functional groups in CBp and carbon black N330 were similar. The surface roughness of the vulcanizate with a single filler was smaller than that of the vulcanizate with blending fillers, and the surface roughness of the vulcanizate with 50 phr carbon black N330 was smaller than that of the vulcanizate with 50 phr CBp.As the CBp/carbon black N330 blending ratio increased, the bound rubber content of the compound decreased, the storage modulus decreased significantly under small strain, the crosslinking density,Shore A hardness, tensile stress at given elongation and tear strength of the vulcanizate decreased, while the elongation at break and rebound value increased, the tensile strength changed little, but the wear resistance deteriorated.
