The effect of the vertical load,inflation pressure and test rim during the testing process on tire cornering characteristics was investigated.The results showed that the cornering stiffness of different specifications tires increased with the increase of vertical load,showing almost linear changes in the early stage and slowing down in the later stage.There were intersection points in the curve of tire cornering stiffness with vertical load variation under different inflation pressures,and the lower the nominal aspect ratio was,the greater the vertical load at the intersection point was.When increasing the width of the wheel rim,the tire rigidity increased,and the higher the nominal aspect ratio was,the greater the increase in tire cornering stiffness was.Therefore,the test conditions should be strictly controlled to ensure the accuracy and validity of test data.
