The fluidity of the rubber compound was tested at higher shear rates using the GOTTFERT RCR20 capillary rheometer(referred to as RCR20 rheometer),and the testing conditions and judgment indicators were studied. The test results showed that, the maximum extrusion rate in the RCR20 rheometer output curve could not represent the maximum rate at which extrusion was stable, and could not be used as a standard for judging the fluidity of rubber compound. As the extrusion pressure increased, the extrusion rate and shear rate increased and the data became more stable.By combining the standard deviation and fluctuation values, the average extrusion rate of 50~100 s could be used as a criterion for determining the stability of fluidity data.According to the fluidity data measured by the RCR20 rheometer, the mixing process of different formulas could be optimized, which was more sensitive than the Mooney viscosity machine detection.
