With the help of China Household Finance Survey data(CHFS),this paper explores the influence of Internet use on ru-ral internal income gap and the moderating effect of rural labor return on the above relationship.The research shows that:(1)Inter-net use will aggravate the gap of farmers'agricultural income,but help to narrow the gap of farmers'non-agricultural income.(2)Internet use has widened the agricultural income gap between middle-low and high-low income groups,and narrowed the non-agri-cultural income gap between middle-low income groups.(3)Labor return can alleviate the impact of Internet use in widening the in-come gap between farmers and farmers,and promote the effect of Internet use in narrowing the non-agricultural income gap be-tween farmers.Therefore,the government should strengthen the training of low-income farmers in the use of the Internet skills,ac-celerate the mass production and modernization of rural agricultural production,attract outstanding migrant labor return,give full play to the role of labor return in the use of the Internet affecting the income gap within rural areas,and promote the realization of common prosperity.
