Does Digital Economy Promote The Development of Urban-rural Integration?
Based on the entropy-weighted TOPSIS method,the paper measures the level of inter-provincial digital economic devel-opment,rural revitalization and new urbanization respectively from 2011 to 2020,uses the coupling coordination function to mea-sure the level of urban-rural integration development,and empirically examines the impact of digital economy on it.The results show that the digital economy has a significant role in promoting the development of urban-rural integration,and the conclusion is still valid after the robustness test of selecting instrumental variables and replacing estimation methods.Further analysis shows that the digital economy promotes the integrated development of urban and rural areas by accelerating the integration and upgrading of urban and rural industries and promoting the two-way free flow of factors.Based on the above conclusions,suggestions are pro-posed to deeply utilize the digital platform for coordinated development of urban-rural industries,stimulate the potential of urban-rural industrial resources,and strengthen the construction of rural information network infrastructure.
