Research on Internet Use,Income Inequality, and Farmers'Environmental Governance Behavior
Exploring the relationship between internet use and farmers'environmental governance behavior in the context of digital rural areas is of great significance for achieving rural ecological revitalization.Based on the data of the China Comprehensive Social Survey(CGSS2021),this study explores the impact and mechanism of Internet use on farmers'environmental governance behav-ior.The results are as follows.(1)Internet use has a significant positive impact on farmers'participation in environmental gover-nance,and income inequality plays a mediating role in the impact of internet use on farmers'participation in environmental gover-nance,with a partial mediating effect.(2)Education level plays a moderating role in the impact of internet use on farmers'partici-pation in environmental governance.(3)The impact of Internet use on farmers'participation in environmental governance is more pronounced in males or those with higher levels of education, better physical health or living in the eastern China and those whose families are economically disadvantaged. Therefore,it is necessary to further promote the sinking of internet technology, strengthen internet technology training, alleviate income inequality within rural areas, and formulate differentiated promotion plans for environ-mental governance rules.
