How Can Fault-tolerant Dynamics Improve Employee's Adaptive Performance?——A Moderated Mediation Model
Employee's adaptive performance is an important foundation for enterprises to cope with environmental changes, and fault tolerance dynamics provide a new perspective to explain employee's adaptive performance.Based on emotional event theory,self-regulation theory, and resource conservation theory, with 306 in-service employees in technology-based enterprises as re-search subjects, this article clarified the path and boundary conditions of the impact of fault tolerance dynamics on employee's adaptive performance. The results indicate that fault-tolerant dynamics have a significant positive impact on employee's adaptive performance;metacognitive ability plays a mediating role between fault tolerance dynamics and employee's adaptive performance;task responsibility moderates the relationship between fault tolerance dynamics and metacognitive abilities, and further moderates the indirect effect of fault tolerance dynamics on employee's adaptive performance through metacognitive abilities. The study pro-poses from the perspective of organizational emotions that fault-tolerant dynamics is an influencing factor of employee's adaptive performance, providing a new method for enterprises to improve employee's adaptive performance.
