Research on the Impact of Social Capital on the Adoption Behavior of Green Technology by Large-scale Grain Growers
Farmer'adoption of green technologies is an important way to promote the high-quality development of green agriculture and protect the health of ecosystems.Based on research data from 510 large-scale grain growers in Anhui Province, through estab-lishing an ordered Probit model and a mediation effect model, the article empirically analyzes the impact of social capital and busi-ness scale on the adoption behavior of green technology by grain growers, and focuses on its impact mechanism of social capital and its different dimensions. The results indicate that social capital, social networks, and social reputation have a significant promoting effect on the green technology adoption behavior of large-scale grain growers;the scale of operation has a significant mediating ef-fect on the adoption of green technology by large-scale grain growers through social capital and social networks. In addition, factors such as the farmers'age, the shapes of the land, and the purpose of food production also have an impact on farmers'adoption of green technologies. The above empirical results have been validated through robustness testing.Based on this,it is proposed that the government should strengthen the promotion of green agricultural technology, enhance the social capital of farmers, promote large-scale operations, and encourage corresponding policy guarantees for green agricultural technology.
