A Study on the Enhancement of Supply Chain Resilience of Industry Chains Empowered by New Quality Productive Forces--Empirical Evidence from Listed Companies
The new quality productive forces is centered on the enhancement of total factor pro-ductivity,and is led by disruptive innovation to continuously promote industrial change.In the con-text of the great power game,this paper theoretically analyzes the connotation and mechanism of in-dustrial chain supply chain resilience through the three dimensions of matching supply and demand,maintaining supply and demand,and improving supply quality.The impact of new quality productive forces on the resilience of industrial chain supply chain is empirically examined through the highly detailed"upstream firms-downstream firms-year"dataset of Chinese listed companies from 2009 to 2022.It is found that the new quality productive forces significantly promotes the matching of sup-ply and demand,the maintenance of supply and demand,and the improvement of supply quality,and thus enhances the resilience of the industrial chain supply chain,and the conclusion still holds after the endogeneity problem is dealt with and a series of robustness tests.The results of the mechanism test show that the new quality productive forces enhances the resilience of the industrial chain sup-ply chain by increasing the productivity of enterprises and reducing the cost of coordination and communication as well as the cost of transportation and inventory.There are obvious differences in the effect of new quality productive forces on the toughness of industrial chain supply chain,and the promotion effect of new quality productive forces is more obvious in the samples of large-scale sup-pliers,state-owned suppliers,and highly marketized regions.The findings of this paper enhance the empirical support for new quality productive forces to improve the toughness of industrial chain sup-ply chain and provide policy insights to accelerate the toughness and security level of industrial chain supply chain.
