Improving the risk management of cities,esp.of metropolises,and the resilience of the city has inevita-bly become the key move to promote the modernization in governance system and management ability in China.The 21st century witnesses the rapid development of artificial intelligence and the emerging intelligence ages featured by widespread internet,algorithm domination and data orientation.All these have led to profound changes in the mode of production,life style,way of thinking,and even in the way of nation governance.This paper illustrates the city governance from 4 levels.First,it makes a brief analysis of the roles and functions of city risk management;Sec-ond,based on the literature review of the city risk management,it puts forward a new perspective,that is,"gov-ernance of resilient cities";Third,it probes into 4 issues as to the city risk management embedded with artificial intelligence technology;Fourth,it offers some suggestions and countermeasures as to risk management embedded with artificial intelligence to promote the city risk governance ability in China.
