In his report to the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,General Secretary Xi Jin-ping pointed out the need to ensure and improve people's livelihoods in the context of high-quality development,advocating for'improving the multi-tiered social security system that covers the entire population in urban and rural areas and see that it is fair,unified,reliable,well-regulated,and sustainable......and expanding the coverage of social insurance programs'.This directive outlines the overall requirements for the development of so-cial security in the new era and serves as the fundamental guiding principle for its studies.Meanwhile,China's social security system is facing challenges such as changes in the main social contradiction,urbanization,and an aging population.This study,utilizing CiteSpace visualization analysis software,focuses on samples of academic articles from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)database from January 2018 to October 2023,and analyzes the volume of articles,research hotspots,and core authors to outline the current situation and trend of social security studies,offering some insights for future studies in the field of social security.
