Focusing on books of Poems of the Western Regions in Dynasties and Notes on the Western Regions Poems in Qing Dynasty,this paper summarizes Urumqi City in the aspects such as geographic location,natural environ-ment and society,and concludes the content,characteristics and connotation of writing of Urumqi City Culture in the Western Regions poems of Qing Dynasty in hope of offering a real picture of the society in Urumqi in Qing Dy-nasty as well as providing a reference for the development of contemporary Urumqi.The Western Regions poems of Qing Dynasty are characterized by the diversification of geographic names,wonder of the natural scenery and abun-dance of products and resources in writing Urumqi culture,and the poems display all aspects of life in Urumqi as well as the authors'emotions and thoughts.This study can also serve as an example for Western Regions literature studies.
