Research on the Spatio-temporal Evolution and Influence Factors of High-quality Green Development in the Counties of Xinjiang
High-quality green transformation is an important pathway to improve economic efficiency,enhance the ecological environment,and promote people's quality of life.First,this paper constructs a comprehensive evalua-tion index system for high-quality green development and calculates the level of high-quality green development in 82 counties(towns and cities)of Xinjiang from 2000 to 2020.Secondly,it calculates the global Moran's I in-dex and examines the spatio-temporal evolution trend of high-quality green development in the counties of Xin-jiang through analysis of cold and hot spots.Finally,the benchmark regression model is employed to analyze the in-fluence factors of the level of high-quality green development in these counties.The findings show:The level of high-quality green development in Xinjiang counties has steadily increased,with continuous improvement in eco-nomic development quality,significant ecological improvements,and the realization of people-oriented develop-ment concepts;areas with similar levels of high-quality green development exhibit agglomerated spatial distribu-tion,with hot spot areas mainly concentrated in northern and eastern Xinjiang while cold spots distributed in south-ern Xinjiang in the block-shaped form;factors such as government financial capacity,enterprise operations,pub-lic behavior,and financial support all significantly promote high-quality green development in Xinjiang counties.Based on these conclusions,this paper,therefore,makes such proposals as enhancing the quality of economic de-velopment in counties,strengthening ecological environmental protection,improving people's livelihood and well being,encouraging joint efforts from various stakeholders to promote high-quality green development,formulating policies based on the functional characteristics of counties,and establishing high-quality green development cen-tral areas in the counties,etc..
