Building beautiful Xinjiang embodies the core values of ecological civilization and reflects the aspirations of the people in Xinjiang for a better ecological environment and lifestyle in the new era.It is an important practice of Xi Jinping's Ecological Civilization Thought in Xinjiang and a key part of the practice of Chinese Path to Mo-dernization in Xinjiang.And the rule of law plays a fundamental,guiding,and protective role in constructing and improving ecological civilization.In recent years,Xinjiang has witnessed an accelerated pace in legislation which has provided a solid legal foundation for building beautiful Xinjiang.Meanwhile various law enforcement depart-ments have continuously improved their capabilities,intensified efforts to combat illegal activities that damage the construction of beautiful Xinjiang,and achieved remarkable results.However,there are still shortcomings in the aspects of legal awareness,supply of relevant legal regulation,and the construction of legal implementation systems in the process of building beautiful Xinjiang.These gaps prevent meeting the new expectations of all ethnic groups for a beautiful ecological environment and hinder the realization of the goal to write a new chapter in the construction of beautiful Xinjiang.Thus efforts should be made to enhance the rule of law concept for building beautiful Xinjiang,perfect the legal system for ecological civilization,and strengthen the legal implementation system for the ecological environment to achieve the legal guarantee for building beautiful Xinjiang.
