As an integral part of Chinese culture,Xinjiang's red culture consists of historical facts,revolutionary spirit,and relics left behind by generations of Communist Party members who dedicated themselves to Xinjiang's liberation,development,and to safeguarding the national unification and ethnic unity.It also includes the achieve-ments in construction,commemorative sites,and even privately-established revolutionary memorial venues.Strengthening the sense of community of the Chinese nation has been proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping in light of the new challenges in the ethnic work for the new era and works as the central theme of the Party's ethnic work in the new era.Promoting a united,harmonious,prosperous,and progressive Xinjiang cannot be achieved without correct political direction and the guidance of advanced culture.Cultural identity is the deepest form of i-dentification,serving as the foundation of national unity and the soul of ethnic harmony.Xinjiang's red culture not only embodies the strong sense of community of the Chinese nation but also acts as a spiritual bond,enhancing all the people's recognition of the great motherland,Chinese people,Chinese culture,the Communist Party,and so-cialism.Therefore,it is necessary to improve the research and interpretation of Xinjiang's red culture,and effec-tively utilize its resources so as to advance high-quality ethnic work for the new era.
