Analysis of the Three Dimensions for Teaching the Course Conspectus of Modern Chinese History with the Perspective of Macro-History
General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly emphasized the importance of adopting a"macro-historical perspective"to understand key events in China's modern history on various occasions,which provides direction and foundational guidance for teaching the course Conspectus of Modern Chinese History effectively.This article ex-plores how the macro-historical perspective can be used as a scientific historical methodology to effectively teach the course from the dimensions of"possibility","applicability"and"feasibility".On the first dimension,to fulfill its teaching objectives requires this perspective as scientific historical guidance.On the second dimension,adopting this perspective is the need for improving the teachers'competencies,fulfilling curriculum objectives,and elucida-ting key themes and the trajectory of the Communist Party's struggles.On the third dimension,by employing this perspective,the teachers can approach historical topics with a developmental mindset,adhere to the objective laws of historical progression,and accurately grasp the main themes and essence of modern Chinese history.All these will enable the contemporary college and university students to appreciate the Party's leadership,strengthen their i-deals and beliefs,and take on the historical mission of national rejuvenation through Chinese modernization.
