Abstract

In recent years, formative assessment is attracting more and more domestic and foreign scholars and their theoretical achievements are remark-able. Actual y, the functions of formative assessment are having been pitiful y neglected in English teaching. Therefore, focusing on the formative assess-ment and exploring the practical assessment model are badly necessary.
