Gombrowicz’s detective story A Premeditated Crime relates how H., the investing magistrate manages to fabricate a“muder”that actually does not exist at all by his imagination. This paper analyses the reason why such a“case”could be done in terms of the death drive, and the oedipus compex, and concludes that the psychological elements of the characters in the story contribute much to fabrication of the case.
