摘要
Modern Family以“伪记录片”的拍摄形式，用独特的视角讲述了极具代表的三个典型的美国家庭复杂而混乱的日常生活和情感世界，其中之一就有由年过半百的Jay和美艳动人的哥伦比亚少妻Gloria以及Gloria与前夫所生的Manny组成的跨国家庭。这篇论文旨在以Modern Family中的Jay、Gloria和Manny组成的跨国家庭为例，通过探究跨国婚姻的含义、动机与标准以及跨国家庭在社会融入过程中的认同与挑战，并且关注第三文化儿女的教育与适应问题，探求提高跨文化交际能力的途径与方法，使我们能够更好的立足于全球化的大潮。
Abstract
Modern Family,using the fake-documentary-style perspective,de-scribe three representative American families’s complex yet interesting daily lives and emotional worlds,one of which is a transnational family composed of Jay,Gloria and Manny.In this article,i will focus on this family specifically to explore the transnational family’s definition,motivation and cause,social ac-knowledgment and challenges,education and adjustment problem of the third-culture kids,thus seeking methods for improving our intercultural com-munication competence in the era of globalization.
