Effects of sequential tirofiban on patients with acute ischemic stroke(AIS)after alteplase intravenous thrombolysis
Objective To observe the effects of sequential tirofiban treatment following alteplase intrave-nous thrombolysis in patients with acute ischemic stroke(AIS).Methods 60 patients with AIS admitted to Kunshan First People's Hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were randomly divided into 2 groups of 30 cases each using the random number table method. The control group received standard alte-plase thrombolysis, while the study group received sequential tirofiban treatment after alteplase intrave-nous thrombolysis. The neurological deficit scores, doppler ultrasound cerebral blood flow, daily living a-bility,self-care ability, motor function and quality of life scores were compared before and after the treat-ment in both groups to evaluate the treatment effect. Results Before the treatment, compared with con-trol group, there were no significant differences in the scores of neurologic impairment,TCD pulsatility index, resistance index, maximum systolic velocity,end-diastolic velocity, average velocity, ability of dai-ly living,self-care,motor function and quality of life in study group(P>0.05).After thetreatment, the neurological deficit scores, pulsatility index and resistance index in study group were significantly lower than those in control group, while the systolic peak flow velocity,end-diastolic flow velocity, mean flow velocity, daily living ability,self-care ability, motor function and quality of life scores were significantly higher(P<0.05).The study group also had a higher overall effective rate compared to the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Sequential tirofiban treatment after alte-plase intravenous thrombolysis in AIS patients can significantly reduce the severity of neurological deficits, improve hemodynamic indicators, enhance daily living abilities,self-care abilities, and motor functions, and improve the quality of life, making it worthy of clinical promotion.
