Objective To set up the quality control of Clematis songarica Bge.Methods The microstruc-ture of J ungar iron lotus powder was observed by microscopic analysis.The qualitative analysis of rutin and oleanolic acid in Jungar iron lotus was carried out by thin-layer chromatography.High performance liquid chromatography was used to determine the content of rutin in 10 different regions of Jungar iron lo-tus,and the fingerprint spectrum of Jungar iron lotus was established.Results The characteristic struc-tures of stone cells,crystal sheath fibers and bordered pore ducts in the powder of Clematis songarica Bge.were observed under a microscope.Through thin-layer chromatography experiments,it was deter-mined that the Clematis songarica Bge.contained rutin and oleanolic acid.The content of rutin in 10 dif-ferent regions ofClematis songarica Bge.ranged from 0.079 to 0.270 mg/g.In the established fingerprint map of Clematis songarica Bge.,the similarity between the maps of 10 different origins of Clematis songarica Bge.and the control map was greater than 90％.Conclusion This study provides a theoretical basis for the establishment of quality standards for Clematis songarica Bge..
