A survey about cognition and service needs of pregnant women for intraspinal labor analgesia in a third grade hospital in southern Xinjiang of Xinjiang production and construction corps
Objective To investigate the cognitive status and service needs of pregnant women who admitted at the first division hospital of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps for labor analgesia,and to provide reference for better promotion of labor analge-sia intervention.Methods Convenient sampling method was used to select 202 pregnant women who had registered at the department of obstetrics of the first division hospital of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps from October 2021 to June 2022 as the survey subjects.A self-designed questionnaire on cognition and needs of labor analgesia was conducted based on relevant domestic literature.Results Among the pregnant women who participated in the survey,80.9%of pregnant women imagined childbirth pain as the first pain,and 68.84%of pregnant women thought that childbirth pain was terrible.The top two concerns of pregnant women and their fami-ly members for analgesia during childbirth were the influence on the health of the fetus and mother(44.22%,32.66%),while 32.66%of their family members did not have any concerns.63.32%of pregnant women were willing to receive childbirth analgesia,and 84.92%of pregnant women's family members supported childbirth analgesia.64.8%of pregnant women were not very familiar with childbirth analgesia,of which 28.14%were completely unaware.87.94%of pregnant women were willing to receive childbirth analgesia related training,and more than half of them were more willing to learn about childbirth analgesia through online.Conclusions Preg-nant women in southern Xinjiang have a certain understanding of childbirth analgesia,but their level of understanding is not sufficient.The survey results show that pregnant women in the southern Xinjiang region of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps have a large demand for labor pain relief,but they also have concerns,and it is more conducive to the promotion of labor pain relief by using the relevant knowledge of new media to eliminate concerns.
