Analysis about the influencing factors of negative body image in patients with severe scalp psoriasis
Objective To understand the influencing factors of negative body image in patients with severe scalp psoriasis and guide clinical interventions.Methods Clinical data of patients with psoriasis scalp severity index(PSSI)≥60 scores admitted to a top-three hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were collected.According to the Body Image State Scale(BISS)score,they were divided into positive body image group and negative body image group.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to ana-lyze the related factors of negative body image in patients with severe scalp psoriasis.Results A total of 91 patients with severe scalp psoriasis completed the study,with an average BISS score of(18.66±5.91).There were 25 cases with positive body images,account-ing for 27.47%,and 66 cases with negative body images,accounting for 72.53%.Univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in gender,personality,stigma,perception of discrimination,family care degree,and psychological state between the two groups(P<0.05);Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that gender,dominant personality,influential personality,sense of shame,perception of discrimination,family care degree,and psychological state were the influencing factors of negative body images for patients with severe scalp psoriasis.Conclusion Patients with severe scalp psoriasis are prone to negative body image.Fe-male,influential and dominant personalities,severe stigma and discrimination perception,negative emotions,and insufficient family care are all risk factors for negative body image in patients with severe scalp psoriasis.
